What I cannot marry in my head is you telling me that what Chrysalis were/are recouping against your old songs. In 1993 that meant UF Orb LP shares plus a bit on Adventures. 

This could not have happened in 1993, that is totally impossible because your old songs at that time were all assigned to Polygram Music/Orb Music as per the agreement in the back of the Island deal. 

Chrysalis could not and would not have done a deal on the basis that they could recoup on those songs. It would not have got past their legal affairs.

Which is why I think they did a deal on future copyrights. 

Those songs (UF Orb etc) can have come into it later as they did in that 2003 agreement, but in 1993 it was IMPOSSIBLE. 

So what did Chrysalis do a deal against if it wasn't along the lines I remember it as being? 

(After all what do I know being so shit at everything?)

its true i had no interest in being successful at all, and all you guys wanted was the adulation and money, i was only in it for the music and the studio. i even hated people telling me my music or mixes were good, i just didnt want to know unless it was from a musician i respected. thats because i later discovered partly anyway cos im hyper-sensitive, i should never have been around crowds. alex should have just been like a frontman, like he is now for thomas.
